Deep in the Heart of Texas
Today was the last day of our Texas tour. Once again, I want to say thanks to all of our super-generous, amazing friends who drove us around, fed us, danced and listened to us, gave us money and told us stories. It's been a great trip. Here are some pics...
Noah, Kendall and me... looking toughIs that not a frickin huge, beautiful hunk of cheese or what???Hi there NoahWhile driving down to Aransas Pass, Kendall took us to the mother of all gas stations, the restiest stop on the open road, the Taj Mahal of Stop-N-Go's, the most famous facilities in all of Texas, I'm talking about the one and only Buc-ee's!
And I must say, that's an awful lot of trail mix...Sunrise in Port AransasOur friends John and Amy. John makes these amazing jellies out of mesquite, prickly pear, and other crazy southwest stuff. He also whipped up some killer breakfast tacos with papaya smoothies and real homemade tamales on the side. Oh yeah!Today Noah and I visited Enchanted Rock near Fredericksburg. It was a fun (and very windy) afternoon jaunt
