Ah, the beach!

It's been wonderful to make it up to the beach a couple times this past week. Uncle Aaron & Aunt Rae actually bought a camp near Henderson Harbor this summer, very exciting. What a sunset! So I guess I'll just throw up some beach photos.

Now is that a cool sandcastle or what?! Yesterday Sarah and Kailyn came up with Noah and me to visit Fred, Gwyn and Joey at the lake. Sarah and I did most of the work on the sandcastle; Kailyn did the shell design on the one tower. Noah, however, was otherwise occupied...

Creepy, I know. Oh well. Hey, speaking of creepy, check this out...

Yes, that is what you think it is. An inflatable (or deflatable as the case may be) 10-point buck mount, sponsored by (who else?) Miller Beers. We found this gem in a, for lack of a better term, grocery store on Route 3 north of Sandy Pond. How does something like that ever make it to production? Where is there a market for plastic, blow-up deer corpses as wall decorations? Don't people have enough of those irritating singing fish and bird clocks and stuffed jackalopes to take up all the space on the walls of their double-wide trailers without adding a cheap, venison-esque flotation devise to the list? Some of you may remember a similar experience I had with a certain Betty Beaver earlier this year. Just when you thought upstate New York couldn't get any more redneck. Okay that's enough ranting for now. Here's picture of Noah riding a mini-bike to lighten things up.

Ha ha ha, that's better. And finally, here's an eloquent portrait of my darling cousin Kara...

I think she was mostly just upset about her overtly green watershoes but I could be wrong. Okay, that's all for now. I need to go do something half-way useful with this beautiful day. Have a great week everyone.
